# When a place depends on the next grant

This article considers a temporary researcher and a funded student who depend on a resource decision. Two fictional positions distinguish a promising application from allocated funds, a project grant from a personal appointment and scientific disagreement from a status change. Continuation, added tasks and another support are examined without promising a ready exit.

It may help an academic-group participant where funding expectations affect work, a new request or plans for another period.

- What is confirmed: review, decision, document or usable resource?
- Who may decide this particular place or support question?
- How does project duration differ from personal participation terms?
- Which duties are accepted and which are still proposed?
- What would make another programme actual support?

No specific competition, employment rights or residence permission is determined. Actual terms matter. Safe enquiry, a place, access, funds and earnings are not guaranteed; threats need separate protection consideration.
