# A parent protecting a child while depending on an institution

This article considers parental responsibility when school provides needed learning, care and a workable timetable, while no available replacement has been found. It distinguishes actual constraints, child voice, institutional demands and delivered help. Individual examples are fictional.

It may help parents, other supporting adults and staff.

- Does depending on a place mean agreement with every treatment?
- How can adults hear children without supplying a preferred account?
- Why does protection require neither a perfect story nor pupils arranging it alone?
- How does promised support differ from available assistance?

Local law, a particular service and a safe route are not established. Safe reporting, refusal or transfer, and retained place, job and income are not guaranteed. Actual urgent duties remain; children are offered neither unaided departure nor reconciliation as a condition of help.
