# Being heard while depending on a guardian's decision

This article concerns child voice while someone else retains decision-making authority. It distinguishes views, requests, agreement and powers, and considers information, representation, feedback and actual help. Individual examples are fictional.

It may help relatives, supporting adults, representatives and institutional staff.

- Why does dependence not make a child's view irrelevant?
- How can a question be explained without coaching a preferred answer?
- How does representation differ from replacing child words?
- Why do listening, decisions and help received differ?

Local law, guardian powers and an individual violation are not determined. Safe reporting, review or departure, retained place, housing, help, adult work and income, or a shared favourable outcome are not guaranteed. Actual urgent duties remain; children do not organise their entire protection alone.
