# An investigator, journalist or helper under pressure: the limit of one’s word

A signature, publication and promise of help need different grounds. Three distinct stories examine a review’s scope, accusation’s wording and a family’s publicity consent. Pressure, possible responsibility and the need for protection are considered together without a safe action being promised.

## For whom

For an internal investigator, journalist or community helper asked to distort, conceal or promise more than knowledge and authority support; also for someone supporting them.

## Questions

- Can a limited review acquit the entire company?
- Does publication urgency turn a source’s account into fact?
- Does a family’s gratitude authorise speaking for them?
- Does pressure exclude consideration of one’s actions?
- Does truthfulness require telling everything to any recipient?

## Boundary

This text establishes no guilt or national reporting duty, replaces no legal help and supplies no investigation, information-gathering, access-bypassing or personal-data publication methods. Safe refusal, pausing, publicity, reporting and protected channels are not guaranteed. Under immediate threat, available protection of people takes priority over the exercise.
