# When former certainty about the world is missing

After war, an old explanation may stop helping. Fairness, predictability and people may be questioned without a new answer. This alone establishes neither diagnosis nor the course of an entire future.

One difficult question can be named without explaining everything. Fact, assumption, value and personal meaning differ. Acknowledging unknowns erases no experience and does not make every account equally accurate. Justice can remain important without declaring everything that happened already just.

New faith, political positions and gratitude for suffering need not purchase help. Conversation requires neither full disclosure nor enduring threats to prove openness. Traditions, acquaintances and professionals have different roles; confidence grants nobody authority over every area of your life.

Present practical needs and professional help need not await complete meaning. Persistent difficulties affecting life can warrant suitable assessment. Immediate danger, serious deterioration or inability to maintain safety requires appropriate available local urgent help without waiting for a complete worldview.
