# When faith supports and also becomes difficult

After war, wanting prayer and feeling angry at God, retaining community and questioning an explanation may coexist. This question alone establishes neither diagnosis nor spiritual destiny. Attention need not be earned through restored faith or a useful lesson from war.

Personal conviction, present experience, practice and one person's treatment differ. A tradition's importance justifies neither threats nor humiliation. One unhelpful consolation need not define an entire religion. Content and recipients may be chosen without a full history or ready answer.

A religious text sets no deadline for moving from lament to certainty. Prayer does not exclude human or medical assistance. Do not test faith through danger, exhaustion or abandoned necessary treatment. Medical restrictions and chosen practice require suitable professional clarification within each field.

Persistent difficulties affecting life can warrant appropriate assessment without successfully trying every spiritual approach. Immediate danger, serious deterioration or inability to maintain safety requires appropriate available local urgent help without waiting for reconciliation, community approval or complete faith.
