# When religion does not resonate and meaning remains a question

After war, what matters now may be explored without a prepared faith or philosophical system. This signifies no absence of values. Grounding all morality and adopting a new identity need not precede a need for participation.

Relationships, care, skills and chosen activities may offer personal reference points. These are possibilities rather than a compulsory list or proof of usefulness. Dignity depends neither on output, discovered purpose nor inspiring others. Missing clarity diminishes no need for help.

Present significance justifies no war. Gratitude for loss, forgiveness and restored dangerous relationships are unnecessary. Meaningful care makes nobody responsible for another person's whole life. Participation and assistance may have actual limits.

Persistent difficulties affecting life can warrant suitable assessment without successfully trying every activity or meaning-seeking method. Immediate danger, serious deterioration or inability to maintain safety requires appropriate available local urgent help without waiting for purpose or confidence in the future.
