# Leaving and returning when another adult cares for a child

UW:GROW-022:en · r02 · local GEO; original hash bound in QA/DELIVERY. Server acceptance NOT_RUN.

For parents and adult carers aged18+. I distinguishes tears from a ready verdict; II presence from accepted care; III explanation from demanded emotional agreement; IV compassion from cancelling every departure; V another carer from competing for principal love; VI return from ranking; VII–VIII household agreement, professional questions, and actual resources.

Practice: clarify the real accepting adult, willingness, ability, period, relevant information, and contact; explain according to the child's understanding without false timing. On return, notice current condition and receive facts without demanding a hug. With limited resources, one confirmed contact/detail can suffice; speech can replace a diary. Unconfirmed help is not received care.

There is no age/minute threshold, attachment diagnosis, or easy-adaptation guarantee. Severe persisting anxiety needs professional discussion, imminent danger appropriate local help. Familiar adults are not automatically safe; actual care concerns need assessment. Optional comfort objects still need safety considered; no scarves/soft objects are proposed in infant cots. Other children are no rescuers or sole carers.
