## Short answer

Starting school involves learning new routines and ways of working. Reading does not establish understanding of a route or an educational symbol. Clarify the particular task, accessible explanation and who actually provides help. An error cannot determine a child’s worth; support need not mean doing the work instead.

## What should be checked in an ordinary day?

Who receives and collects the child, where to go after eating, access to the toilet, water, necessary care and communication, and where to ask when plans change. A named helper and information sent do not establish an operating arrangement.

## How can adults help with a task?

Clarify its learning objective, example and expected family role. Explanation, demonstration and an independent attempt differ. Do not present an adult’s result as the child’s; discuss an available option where resources are limited. Agree on one next step and check whether it happened.

## When is further help needed?

Recurring difficulty, significant distress or interference with everyday life warrants suitable consideration, without diagnosis from a mark or waiting for every sign. New pain is not necessarily anxiety. Actual threats or acute deterioration require appropriate protection and urgent help. Children must not stop dangerous adults independently or gather covert evidence.

## Limits

There is no universal admission age, readiness test, settling deadline or homework duration. Local rules and services need separate checks. Historical comparisons with Dewey and Confucius establish neither an effective method nor a legal procedure. The master retains rest, play, respect, necessary care and source limitations.
