## Short answer

Name the teacher's observation, the family's observation, the child's words and the unknowns separately. Different conditions may explain different results without establishing a cause. Replace a general label with one understandable question about a particular task and a suitable action.

## How can a hypothesis be examined without more pressure?

Clarify accessible support for the first step, who provides it and what is actually observed. Do not withdraw necessary help for comparison, require repetition of a distressing event or demand confirmation of the preferred hypothesis. One open notebook establishes neither understanding of the entire task nor permanent resolution.

## How can home and school communicate?

Agree a feasible time, channel, responsible recipient and next contact. Prepared, sent, received, considered and changed are different states. Children can participate in accessible agreements without maintaining the whole adult communication route or monitoring adults. Use sufficient information without a public group or a child secretly gathering evidence.

## When is ordinary cooperation insufficient?

Threats, violence, humiliation and unsafe conditions require suitable protection and help; immediate danger or acute deterioration requires urgent assistance. Full adult agreement is no prerequisite. Not every relative or employee is a safe recipient. Optional reflection can stop while care and actual duties continue.

## Limits

No diagnosis, grades guarantee, reconciliation, absolute secrecy or universal school procedure is supplied. Clarify local rules, authority and access to assistance separately. The Convention provides a framework rather than confirmation of a received service. EEF's overview and summary were read, not its full evidence report; historical passages provide no contemporary protocol. Thai GEO is excluded.
