# Contraception, infections, and professional questions — GEO

UW:GROW-086:en, r01. Local author master; production acceptance NOT_RUN. Original/GEO bindings: QA.json / DELIVERY.json.

## Audience and question

Parents, other caring adults, and young adults eighteen or over: is the task pregnancy prevention, infection prevention, testing, or care after a possible exposure?

## Distinctions

Contraception and infection prevention differ. No symptoms is no test result; one result covers neither all infections nor all periods. Vaccination for particular infections replaces no complete prevention plan. Shared preparation transfers no bodily decision and establishes no sexual consent.

## Available step

Name one task and ask a competent professional about suitability, limitations, action after a concern or error, and an understandable result. Clarify access, cost, language, and confidentiality. Parents support actual organisation without compulsory intimate disclosure at home. Booking, consultation, and a completed measure differ.

## Urgent boundary

Seek assessment promptly after recent possible pregnancy or HIV risk. WHO describes emergency contraception within five days; CDC gives a 72-hour HIV PEP initiation window when indicated, with sooner better. Different windows permit no waiting. Individual medical assessment is required; no drug regimen is provided. More elapsed time does not make all help pointless. Immediate danger calls for urgent local assistance; children do not investigate or repair unsafe families.
