# Intimate care: agreeing assistance and privacy

Asking for help with clothing or toileting does not authorise unnecessary listeners, every later action or disclosure of details. In an ordinary safe situation, clarify one task, an accessible response method, an appropriate helper and the information needed. Silence does not become automatic agreement.

[Intimate care, using the toilet and embarrassment](ARTICLE_EN.md) distinguishes action, skill and attitude. Kinship does not create procedural competence; a package is not organised care. No universal skin, transfer, fluid, diet, medication or toileting instructions are supplied. Refusal requires clarifying its subject and the appropriate process, without leaving necessary care unmet or granting families coercive authority.

NIDDK advises care without delay for inability to pass urine or empty the bladder, blood in urine or painful urination. The NHS calls for urgent contact for black or dark red stool or bloody diarrhoea. These are incomplete examples; immediate danger requires urgent medical help before practice. Embarrassment does not close a medical question.

Kant and Confucius retain differences, including Kant's criticism of ordinary reciprocity's sufficiency. Philosophy selects neither technique nor clinical consent capacity. CG138 is NHS guidance, not worldwide law or a service guarantee. Family, money and an app are not assumed. This GEO follows the English original; agreement, action and health improvement remain different outcomes.
