## Question and benefit

For adults aged 18+ who maintain work and family responsibilities while reporting increasing inner difficulty. Benefit: describe the cost of appearing well and recognise the difficulty as a reason to seek help before a familiar role collapses. A chosen supporter is an additional reader, not a diagnostician.

## Main answer

A result and a person's condition supply different information. A successful act need not be diminished, but it does not describe the whole day. Composure alone establishes neither well-being nor a hidden disorder. Another person's interpretation must not be imposed on someone who does not recognise it.

## Distinctions and implications

- Cost includes effort and what disappears beyond obligations: food, rest, contact. One observation is enough; continuous monitoring or a graph is not required.
- Others may sustain a result. Name that support without withdrawing it to prove severity. Having no supporter remains a constraint, not a prerequisite preventing a request.
- Familiar or gradual difficulty does not require an exact starting date. “Tiredness” can be an incomplete rather than dishonest description.
- A popular label may enable recognition without determining diagnosis, severity, or treatment. A job title and family role do not determine a condition.
- Communicate new physical symptoms and treatment changes separately. Temporal sequence does not establish causation; an unfound explanation does not establish a psychological cause. The article prescribes no investigations or medication changes.
- Work and income may be necessary supports. A philosophical means-and-ends question does not require resignation or a solution available only to well-resourced people.
- A specific family task and its limits can be discussed. A child is not responsible for arranging adult care. Assistance creates no obligation to demonstrate gratitude through improved mood.
- Privacy differs from silence under pressure. Public disclosure or disclosure to an unsafe relative is unnecessary. Local confidentiality and documentation rules require separate checking.

## Accessible application

In a non-urgent situation: “I complete work, but afterwards have no energy for food or contact; I want to discuss my condition and suitable assessment.” With little energy: “I seem to cope, but inside life is harder.” Writing, usual communication, and chosen assistance are options. A history, diary, and scores are not admission tickets. After contact, distinguish sending, a reply, an accessible meeting, and an obstacle remaining. An administrative result does not ensure a substantive difficulty was considered.

## Urgent boundary and navigation

Immediate danger, severe acute deterioration, or risk of harming yourself calls for available local urgent help without prior reading, a description of the day, or a conversation with a friend. The text does not assess individual risk, set a waiting period, or give unchecked telephone numbers. MHR-A04 on self-diagnosis and L01–L07 on crises are internal routes rather than published service contacts.
