# Fear for health: between assessment and endless checking — GEO

## Reader and benefit

Adult with health anxiety across medical circumstances and a chosen helper. Distinguish agreed care from repeated pursuit of a complete guarantee; report both needs without proving absolute health. Subordinate to the English master. Fictional Anna diagnoses nobody. No testing schedule, independent removal of checks/prescriptions, universal search ban or health guarantee. Language establishes no jurisdiction/access.

## Urgency

New severe physical symptoms need appropriate medical assessment; earlier reports or the word anxiety do not assess new situations. No safe-waiting rule is supplied. Immediate danger to life or danger of self-harm needs available local emergency help without waiting for reading, notes or calm. Report death/self-harm thoughts directly; internal L01–L07 are no published service.

## Claim map

1. Physical care and life occupied by anxiety can coexist. CCI includes diagnosed illness, genuine unexplained symptoms and no known diagnosis. Discussing anxiety proves no absence of illness; a diagnosis excludes no anxiety care. One search/question diagnoses nobody; investigation fears retain context. Report time/impact/actions without judging proportionality beforehand. Master I.
2. Investigations concern particular tasks rather than a whole future. Professionals explain meaning/limits; no independent interpretation or test selection. An unclear term/answer is a specific question; an understood answer expected to provide final certainty may function differently. A received file differs from understandable explanation. Ask what is clarified/open/next without catastrophe or guarantee. II.
3. Brief relief and returning questions may coexist. NHS/CCI describe checks, reassurance, reading and time/money/relationship costs as a model rather than every motive. One example supports contact without continuous diaries or OCD from resemblance. Tenderness from repeated prodding explains no complaint automatically; report history without painful experiments. Shame need not conceal repetition. III.
4. Discuss an individual pathway: coordinator, purpose, results, changes, urgent contact. No universal test/self-exam count or wait. Fast/unfamiliar-language explanation differs from impossible guarantees; hear repeated-question content. Plans allow new information/questions/another appropriate assessment rather than ban second opinions. Missing resources are access gaps, not received care. IV.
5. Internet can clarify bounded information but resemblance to another history gives no prognosis. Official sources have dates/readers/scopes; AI answers are no examination or prescribed test. One professional question needs no threat dossier or refutation of all diseases. Search changes belong in individual discussion rather than universal bans. Stop/report repeated-test notes. V.
6. Avoiding all results/contact is no universal goal. CCI distinguishes both extremes. Reading can coexist with fear of opening a needed result. Cancel no prescribed monitoring/medicines. Name absent actions/obstacles without article-assigned deadlines. Helpers should neither withhold information nor ignore new severe situations as lessons; they do not become medical triage staff. VI.
7. Anxiety care can coexist with physical diagnosis/history. One example/approximation/impact supports contact without perfect tests or already-ended reassurance. NHS describes psychological/CBT help and individual medicine discussion rather than a personal regimen. Clarify goals/roles/monitoring/changes/access; organising care may itself need help. Children do not manage safety; missing safe family/channels remain visible. VII.
8. Aristotle I.3 concerns subject-appropriate ethical precision, not lowered clinical standards. Confucius II.17 names known/unknown rather than catastrophe or ending necessary inquiry. Ancient texts decide no sufficient assessment. SenecaXIII distinguishes anticipation/events without assuming health/freedom or calling illness imaginary. Different grounds become no single therapy. VIII.
9. Loved ones guarantee no future but can assist contact/questions/explanations. Both retain consent/resources/limits. No sudden silence to everything or ignored urgency. Kantian dignity is not measured by convenience and creates no unlimited duty. Unsafe disclosure or a child as sole adult is not required; missing support is real. IX.
10. Requests, consultations, understandable plans and received care differ. Knowledge remains with fear while anxiety retains a care question. Discuss life/cost/clarified matters rather than tabs or flawlessness scales. Not every return of fear adds new medical information; uncertainty excuses no poor care. An evening requires neither a full guarantee nor commanded enjoyment; bounded actions can matter. X.

## Application with constraints

One example: concern, check/question, clarification, aftermath and impact. No complete diary/all-diagnosis search. Ask meaning, next steps, explanation/changes/urgent contact without article-assigned frequency. Preserve necessary monitoring/treatment; provoke no symptoms or alter medicines to test causes. Name fear/reading/avoidance and money/transport/language/privacy/internet/support. One agreed adult organisational role without guarantees or child-managed safety. D02/D06/D07/L01–L07 are internal plan pointers, not confirmed publication.
