## Question and answer

How can money, promises, and relationships be addressed after an episode? Separate confirmed facts, present abilities, and relational repair. Feeling steadier does not automatically settle consequences. A diagnosis does not erase harm; discussing harm does not authorize humiliation or control over an entire life. The practical unit is one matter and a feasible action, rather than another promise to repair everything immediately.

## Distinctions

- Guilt does not confirm an amount, medical explanation does not determine legal effects, and having money does not establish readiness for every conversation.
- A statement, another person's report, and interpretation of motives differ. Gaps in memory need not be filled with invented explanations.
- Gathering information differs from acknowledging a claim, paying, signing, or transferring authority. Their effects require appropriate local review of particular documents, circumstances, and dates. A diagnosis alone establishes neither a transaction's validity nor release from an obligation.
- Apology, compensation, and forgiveness differ. A future without episodes cannot be promised; another person need not trust or forgive immediately. Violence or coercion makes a joint conversation unsuitable as a general practice.
- Support requires an agreed task, data access, and review. Kinship establishes no universal authority. Helpers have limits too; their agreement cannot be invented.

## Application and safety

For one letter or promise: confirmed facts / unknowns / needed help / what I can actually do. This working note is neither a legal position nor acknowledgment of a debt. Do not disclose sensitive information to an unverified contact. Establish actual access to appropriate local advice instead of assuming an American or British service applies through the language of the article.

With little energy: “Documents and promises remain after an episode; please help me choose one immediate question.” Without family or a telephone, name that gap at an available in-person medical or social contact. No service is guaranteed. Immediate danger, a sharply changing state, marked confusion, or inability to meet basic needs safely makes medical help the priority. There are no treatment schedules, lay determinations of legal capacity, covert treatment, or coercion instructions. MHR-G05 is internal navigation to planning future support, not a published service.
