The thieves’ code: a dark mirror and the actual power of informal rules

Does rejecting unlimited power cancel every debt?

Does a prison phrase establish the same order outside custody?

Are E02’s historical genealogies now proven false?

Must everything be publicly disclosed immediately to receive help?

In S.P. and Others v. Russia, 2 May 2023, the ECtHR found inhuman/degrading treatment within an informal prison hierarchy and failures to protect the applicants.

• A particular case/selected parts, rather than every material/current institution/Anton/status manual; assessing treatment does not legitimize the hierarchy.

Correcting words/damage differs from satisfying every demand of a self-appointed adjudicator. Acknowledging error requires no inferior human rank; rejecting unlimited power does not automatically cancel every harm or debt.

• Anton’s earlier words/debt/threat/crime/outcome remain unknown; the demand is given. Questions are no meeting script or guaranteed phrase/interview account. New information establishes neither earlier knowledge nor ignorance.

Words/memories/relationships can cross release, but an outside expression transfers no entire order automatically; absent jargon does not exclude pressure. Help can be recognized without unlimited submission.

• This connection is an analytical possibility, not every group’s history; housing/income/documents are not added to Anton. Release does not end every influence. Checking connections/seeking an internal patron is not suggested; moral wording settles no contract/debt.

The actually read Shalamov essay criticizes romanticizing crime and distinguishes theft from belonging to the milieu described. Unconfirmed chronology/reform/genealogies are excluded from practical evidence, rather than declared disproved.

• Authorial polemic, not a current census/verification of every writer; no dehumanizing language or destruction call is inherited. Jati/varna/religious genealogies/anthropological inevitability/direction as sole proof are not retained.

Privacy, self-chosen silence and a prohibition on speaking differ; openness is no sole remedy. Contact, an accepted message, help and an achieved outcome are different states; understandable language is no consent.

• There is no requirement of complete publicity or dangerous admission, no instruction to conceal facts from lawful examination and no anonymity promise. Translation/advice/representation/decisions and data replace no consent; kinship/children are no automatic professional substitute. Access/confidentiality/protection/outcomes and safe action remain unverified.

James 1:19–20/KJV is read as attention before ready judgment; Kant/Abbott keeps humanity also an end, never as means only to status/resources/an account.

• No duty of endurance/perfect calm/silence; lawful mutual services remain allowed. No common law/treatment/immunity/protection/others’ consent/dangerous contact/forgiveness/self-sacrifice follows. Other harmed people need not trust/forgive/join recovery.

Later weakening of some constraints is a separate conditional stage, rather than established termination of the demand/end of all dependence. Rapid restoration of trust/work/reputation/intimacy is not promised.

• Earlier help does not make every old connection safe or require immediate contact. One dangerous connection is not every acquaintance; valuing language/friendship neither requires repeating every rule nor guarantees acceptance by the circle.
