Questions & Answers

Interpreters, sign language and accessible explanations at an appointment

Questions & Answers

Based on LHD-018,r01,ARTICLE_EN.md.

Which tasks differ?

Language interpreting, sign language,AAC and understanding clinical content. One format does not automatically satisfy all. No universal sign language exists;AAC may supplement or replace speech (I–III).

What are participants' roles?

The interpreter conveys, the clinician explains clinical meaning, and the person remains addressed. A helper's observation is distinguished. Children do not receive responsibility for sensitive adult discussion (IV,VI).

How can communication be checked?

Identify a lost or unclear message and check the next action's meaning accessibly. This is no capacity examination. An app is not itself clinical validation (V).

Limited resources and boundaries

A spoken need and a question about actual options can begin. An accepted request is not help delivered;service, funding and absolute secrecy are not guaranteed. Serious current danger does not await ideal interpreting (VI–VIII,practice).
