Answer

Choose a suitable format with the person for a particular task. An answer read aloud, a file opened and a task completed are different results. Check content access, accuracy of consequential information, personal decisions, confirmation and updates. Blindness determines neither intelligence, Braille literacy, resources nor a helper's authority.

Argument

I names the activity; II separates age from diagnosis and retains urgency of new change. III distinguishes reading from summaries and format from accuracy. IV follows the whole task. V–VI consider space and suitable orientation support without technique instruction. VII retains personal decisions. VIII compares Keller's first-person account with normative dignity and participation in the Convention without merging their grounds. IX preserves relationships beyond maintenance. X bounds the result. XI adds blindness from childhood, different reading methods and an inaccessible form element: an experienced user is not required to repair the interface.

Application

Suddenly being unable to see from one or both eyes, or sudden severe eye pain, needs immediate emergency help. Other worrying new changes require medical assessment; home practice does not replace it. For an ordinary task, clarify a preferred method and wanted assistance, check consequential meaning, confirmation and updates. A child is not appointed the reader of adult correspondence; a blind parent remains a parent. Without money, a phone, convenient writing or a service, one manageable agreed request may identify a recipient but establishes no assistance found. An unfinished step remains visible.
