Question and answer
How can voices, suspicion, or unusual beliefs be described? Name experience, effects, unknowns, and one present request. Hearing words differs from explaining an external source. Personal report, another's observation, and inference have different foundations. Everyday language is acceptable; diagnosis before contact is unnecessary. Conversation guarantees neither removal of experiences nor trust.
Practical distinctions
- Listening does not confirm content. Pretend agreement, ridicule, and refuting every statement are unnecessary. Clarify actual feelings instead of assigning fear to fit a script.
- One subject can suffice: sleep, expressing a question, or help making contact. Agreement to one support establishes neither complete disclosure nor transferred decisions.
- Meaning matters more than eloquence. Oral words, a few lines, and accessible communication are possible. A missing diary, application, telephone, or safe family does not remove a question about help.
- History includes available timing, sleep, physical, medicine, and substance information. Sequence establishes no cause or permission to change treatment. Covert recording, passwords, and dangerous tests are not needed.
- A pause outside crisis does not reject all help. Refusal, consent, and confidentiality require separate local clarification. Absolute secrecy, no hospitalization, and ready free services are not promised.
Urgency and next contact
Voices instructing harm to self or others require immediate local emergency medical help. Immediate danger, new sudden confusion, suspected poisoning even without symptoms, or inability to meet basic needs safely must not wait for a practice or family agreement. There is no home safety checklist, treatment schedule, or instruction for force. A voice must not be tested through action.
A child or dependent person missing necessary care needs an actual capable adult or professional. Messaging a service replaces no present help and must not delay medical contact. Children are not responsible for symptoms, medicines, or crisis contacts.
Without immediate danger, choose one request and clarify who actually receives the next question. Messages, referral, assessment, and care differ. Unsafe listeners are not prescribed for intimate disclosure. Without family or a telephone, one question at an accessible in-person medical contact is possible; unavailable services remain gaps. H05 is internal navigation about relatives, not a published service.
Evidence and limits
NIMH supplies clinical context; NSW Health and selected MHFA supply communication recommendations. These are neither personal treatment nor proof of an outcome. The selected NHS harm-instructing-voices provision was read; UK numbers are not transferred. Exact reading scope is in SOURCES.json.
Proverbs18:13, Confucius XV.XL/XXIII in Legge, Epictetus XLV, and Kant II distinguish hearing, meaning, judgment, and respect. They are no single doctrine, thought-based treatment, or local legal test. Coordinator, clinical, native-language, human-outcome, and production acceptance remain NOT_RUN.
